ADHD Therapy & Medication Management in Columbus, GA
Intro Paragraph
Columbus has two populations with notably unmet ADHD needs. The first is the military and veteran community connected to Fort Moore, where ADHD is often underdiagnosed because the structured environment of active military service helps manage and hide symptoms. When transitioning to civilian life, that supportive structure is gone, and ADHD that was manageable in the Army becomes suddenly disruptive in civilian work, relationships, and daily life. The second is Columbus's Black civilian population, where racial disparities in ADHD diagnosis mean many adults live with the long-term effects of years without evaluation and proper support. Radiant Recovery offers ADHD therapy and medication management for Columbus adults and teens via telehealth across Georgia. Medicaid is accepted, with appointments available in the same week.
Who We Help
Veterans and transitioning service members near Fort Moore
Military service offers structure, clear expectations, and accountability systems that help manage ADHD symptoms during active duty. When that structure ends at separation, ADHD often becomes significantly more disabling. We assess and treat veterans' ADHD with awareness of this particular transition -- and with understanding that the same qualities that made someone a successful soldier can appear as ADHD in civilian life.
Black adults in Columbus with undiagnosed or undertreated ADHD
The racial diagnostic gap in ADHD is well-known: Black adults are considerably less likely to be diagnosed with and treated for ADHD despite having similar or higher actual prevalence rates. In Columbus, where access to culturally competent specialty mental health care has historically been limited, this gap is even larger. Our clinicians assess ADHD accurately across presentations that have often been missed or misdiagnosed.
Columbus-area college students at Columbus State University
The demands of higher education -- self-directed study, multiple competing deadlines, executive function under pressure -- frequently expose ADHD that was managed in the structured environment of high school or military service. We serve CSU students and other Columbus-area young adults with ADHD evaluation and treatment.
Teens across Muscogee County

Our Treatment Approach
CBT for ADHD
Structured, practical, skill-focused. For veterans: adapted for the transition period -- helping to build civilian executive function systems without military structure. For college students: focusing on academic executive function, study habits, and managing the unstructured demands of higher education.
Psychiatric Medication Management
Stimulant and non-stimulant options. CRITICAL: Georgia state regulations require in-person evaluation for new patients receiving controlled substance prescriptions. Follow-up appointments may be conducted via telehealth. Coordinated with therapy.
Culturally Grounded Assessment
ADHD assessed with awareness of documented racial disparities in diagnosis. Our clinicians ensure accurate evaluation across presentations that have historically been misattributed or missed in Black clients.
