Mental Health Therapist — Georgia

Georgia Full-time or Part-time

Join our Atlanta-based outpatient team. We welcome both fully licensed clinicians and associate-level clinicians accruing supervised hours toward licensure, with flexible, clinician-directed scheduling and free board-approved supervision.

RRCS is seeking Mental Health Therapists to serve a broad range of ages, diagnoses, and presenting concerns from our Atlanta, Georgia location. We welcome fully licensed clinicians as well as associate-level clinicians accruing supervised experience toward independent licensure.

At Radiant Recovery and Counseling Services, our mission is to empower individuals on their journey to Abundant Life NOW! We provide compassionate, evidence-based outpatient mental health counseling that fosters healing, growth, and transformation. RRCS operates outpatient behavioral health programs in Georgia and Minnesota.

Qualifications

Licensure (Georgia)

You must hold, or be eligible to hold, one of the following credentials issued by the applicable Georgia licensing board, active and in good standing at the time of hire:

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Associate Professional Counselor (APC / LAPC)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT)
  • Licensed Psychologist (LP)

Associate-Level Clinicians (APC / LMSW / AMFT)

Associate-level clinicians practice only under a Board-registered directed-experience and supervision agreement. RRCS provides Board-approved clinical supervision at no cost to the clinician. You must hold an active associate-level license, execute and maintain a supervision agreement registered with the Board prior to seeing patients, practice within the scope and setting authorized by that agreement, and meet all Board documentation and hour-logging requirements for your pathway.

Education

Master's degree or doctorate in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field from a recognized institution.

Additional Requirements

  • Clear a criminal background check and pre-service screening consistent with RRCS policy and Georgia requirements.
  • Clear exclusion screening against the OIG LEIE, SAM.gov, and the Georgia Medicaid exclusion list, and remain unexcluded throughout the engagement.
  • Carry, or obtain prior to first patient contact, professional liability (malpractice) coverage at limits specified by RRCS.
  • Complete payer credentialing paperwork, including CAQH profile setup and attestation, and cooperate with re-credentialing.
  • Maintain a reliable private workspace, secure internet connection, and equipment adequate for HIPAA-compliant telehealth.
  • Complete RRCS onboarding, HIPAA, and compliance training prior to first patient contact.

What You'll Do

  • Establish and maintain a positive, trusting therapeutic alliance with patients.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and treat mental health disorders within your licensed scope of practice.
  • Develop individualized, measurable treatment plans responsive to patient needs, culture, and circumstances.
  • Deliver ongoing counseling sessions and revise treatment plans as clinical presentation changes.
  • Recognize and respond to risk, including safety planning and mandated reporting obligations under Georgia law.
  • Complete progress notes, assessments, and treatment plans within RRCS documentation timeliness standards.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2 where applicable, and all RRCS privacy and security policies.
  • Participate in required clinical supervision, consultation, and continuing education (recorded in CE Broker).

Location: Hybrid — 1201 West Peachtree St NW, Suite 2300, Atlanta, GA 30309, and secure telehealth
Job Type: Part-time, with a full-time option
Pay Range: $28.00–$50.00 per hour
Schedule: Flexible; clinician-directed availability within RRCS operating hours
