Anxiety Therapy & Treatment in Atlanta, GA
Intro Paragraph
Atlanta is one of the most pressure-filled cities in the country. The hustle is real, the expectations are high, and there is a culture -- especially in Black professional spaces -- that equates anxiety with weakness rather than recognizing it as a medical condition affecting tens of millions of Americans. That culture causes people to suffer needlessly for years. At Radiant Recovery in Atlanta, we offer outpatient anxiety therapy and psychiatric medication management for adults across Fulton, DeKalb, and nearby counties. Same week appointments are available. We accept Aetna, Cigna, BCBS of GA, Georgia Medicaid, Medicare, and other commercial insurance. Services are provided in person at our Midtown office or via telehealth anywhere in Georgia.
Who We Help
Black professionals managing high-functioning anxiety
Code-switching, hypervigilance, and constant monitoring of how you are perceived are not just stress responses. For many Black professionals in Atlanta, they represent a form of chronic anxiety rooted in systemic pressures. You deserve care that acknowledges that reality.
Medicaid-eligible adults in South Fulton, College Park, and East Point
We actively accept Georgia Medicaid and serve communities that have historically had the least access to quality mental health care. Peach State, Amerigroup, CareSource, Wellcare, and Molina accepted.
LGBTQ+ Atlantans managing minority stress anxiety
Living authentically in environments that are not always safe generates a specific form of chronic anxiety. Our affirming providers understand minority stress and work without pathologizing identity.
Adults with panic disorder
If you have had panic attacks -- or live in fear of the next one -- effective treatment is available. We use Panic Control Treatment (PCT), an evidence-based protocol with a strong success rate.
Types of Anxiety We Treat
- Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
- Panic Disorder and Agoraphobia
- Social Anxiety Disorder
- Health Anxiety and Specific Phobias
- Performance Anxiety
- Anxiety co-occurring with depression or PTSD
Our Treatment Approach
CBT for Anxiety
Cornerstone of our clinical work. Structured, evidence-based, focused on practical outcomes. Panic Control Treatment for panic disorder. Graduated exposure for social anxiety. Worry and uncertainty tolerance work for GAD.
Culturally Grounded Practice
For Black Atlantans, anxiety is often inseparable from systemic stress and racial hypervigilance. Our clinicians integrate this context as core clinical content, not supplementary material.
Medication Management
SSRIs, SNRIs, and buspirone are available when clinically indicated. We do not prescribe benzodiazepines for ongoing anxiety management. Full evaluation by our Psych NP with transparent discussion of all options.
