Anxiety Therapy & Treatment in Augusta, GA
Intro Paragraph
Augusta sits at a unique crossroads of pressures that generate widespread anxiety. The military culture at Fort Eisenhower fosters a population trained to suppress anxiety instead of acknowledging it. The high-stakes medical setting at Augusta University Medical Center exhausts healthcare workers whose anxiety about patient outcomes has no safe outlet. In Augusta's predominantly Black neighborhoods, anxiety is the constant backdrop caused by economic stress, systemic inequity, and a healthcare system that has historically underserved Black patients. Radiant Recovery offers evidence-based anxiety therapy and psychiatric medication management for Augusta residents and throughout the CSRA -- via statewide telehealth. Accepted by Georgia Medicaid. Same-week appointments.
Who We Help
Veterans and military personnel near Fort Eisenhower
Hypervigilance that persists after deployment ends. Threat detection in everyday settings. Panic reactions to sounds, smells, or situations that trigger combat memory. These are anxiety symptoms specific to the military community, requiring clinicians who understand the culture and mechanisms. We treat anxiety in veterans without judgment and with clinical expertise.
Healthcare workers and Augusta University staff
Healthcare anxiety -- the persistent worry about patient outcomes, the fear of making errors, the emotional suppression that professional culture requires -- produces a specific form of generalized anxiety that responds well to CBT and, where indicated, medication. We provide confidential care for professionals in high-stakes fields.
Black Augusta residents are managing systemic stress and anxiety
Chronic anxiety rooted in racial hypervigilance, economic precariousness, and navigating institutions that have historically let down Black patients is a clinical reality in Augusta's communities. Our BIPOC clinicians recognize this as the clinical issue it is.
Adults across the CSRA
Evans, Grovetown, Martinez, Harlem, North Augusta (SC), and communities across the Central Savannah River Area are all served via telehealth. No commute required.

Our Treatment Approach
CBT for Anxiety
Cornerstone of our anxiety treatment. Structured, evidence-based, practically focused. For military clients: adapted to a population that values directness and concrete skills over open-ended processing. For healthcare workers: targeting the cognitive patterns specific to occupational perfectionism and fear of error.
Culturally Grounded Practice
For Black Augusta clients, anxiety rooted in racial hypervigilance and systemic stress is treated as the clinical reality it is -- not dismissed or reframed as general worry. Our clinicians understand the South's specific racial dynamics and how they shape mental health.
Medication Management for Anxiety
SSRIs, SNRIs, and buspirone are available when clinically indicated. We do not prescribe benzodiazepines for ongoing anxiety management. Full evaluation by our Psych NP. Available via telehealth for Augusta and all Georgia residents.
