ADHD Therapy & Medication Management in Savannah, GA
Intro Paragraph
Savannah highlights a unique ADHD landscape. SCAD's student body includes many adults who were drawn to creative fields partly because their ADHD brains are well-suited for the divergent thinking, hyperfocus, and pattern recognition that art and design favor -- but who struggle with deadline management, sequential tasks, and administrative duties that even creative careers require. For these students and professionals, ADHD is not the cause of their struggles; it also explains why they thrive and why certain demands feel impossible. Additionally, Chatham County's Black community faces the same racial disparities in diagnoses seen nationally, worsened by Savannah's limited mental health services. Radiant Recovery offers ADHD therapy and medication management for Savannah adults and teens via telehealth across Georgia. Medicare accepted. Same-week appointments.
Who We Help
SCAD students and creative professionals with ADHD
ADHD in creative populations exhibits specific features: hyperfocus on engaging work that alternates with a complete inability to handle administrative and sequential tasks, time blindness that disrupts deadline management, and the unique challenge of excelling at core work while struggling with surrounding tasks. We assess and treat ADHD in creative adults with a clinical understanding of this profile -- and without viewing ADHD solely as a deficit.
Black Savannah adults with undiagnosed or undertreated ADHD
The racial diagnostic gap exists in Savannah just as it does elsewhere: Black adults are significantly underdiagnosed with ADHD compared to its actual prevalence. In a city with limited access to specialized mental health services, this gap widens. Our clinicians assess with cultural awareness and avoid racial biases that can lead to diagnostic errors.
Adults managing ADHD in Savannah's tourism and service economy
The unstructured, variable-demand nature of hospitality and service industry work can be both enabling for ADHD brains (novelty, variety, social stimulation) and impairing (inconsistent expectations, complex multi-task management, the administrative demands of tip tracking and scheduling). We treat ADHD in service industry workers with practical, grounded approaches.
