Anxiety Therapy & Treatment in Minneapolis, MN

Anxiety Therapy & Treatment in Minneapolis, MN

Intro Paragraph

Anxiety convinces you that the worst is coming before any evidence of it. It wakes you up at 3 a.m., spins catastrophic scenarios in your mind, and prevents you from speaking up or accepting good news when it arrives. The more you try to outthink it, the stronger its hold becomes. Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health issue in the United States--and one of the most treatable. At Radiant Recovery in Minneapolis, we offer evidence-based anxiety therapy and psychiatric medication management for adults across the Twin Cities metro. Same-week appointments, telehealth options, and acceptance of Minnesota Medicaid.

Who We Help

Adults with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

Persistent, hard-to-control worry about work, relationships, health, and finances -- all at once. If you've been told to 'just relax' your entire life, you deserve support from someone who understands this is a clinical condition, not just a personality quirk.

Adults experiencing panic attacks

Panic attacks are frightening but highly treatable with proper clinical care. Our clinicians utilize Panic Control Treatment (PCT), an evidence-based protocol with a proven success rate.

Immigrant and multilingual communities

Acculturative stress, immigration-related uncertainty, and intergenerational family conflicts all contribute to anxiety in Minneapolis's large East African, Hmong, and Latino communities. Our multilingual and culturally grounded providers are prepared for this work.

BIPOC adults managing anxiety rooted in racial stress

Hypervigilance, chronic threat assessment, and anticipatory anxiety are well-documented psychological responses to repeated experiences of racism and discrimination. This calls for a clinician who understands its origins.

Types of Anxiety We Treat

- Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

- Panic Disorder -- including panic attacks with and without agoraphobia

- Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia)

- Specific Phobias and Health Anxiety

- Separation Anxiety in Adults

- Anxiety secondary to PTSD or trauma

- Anxiety co-occurring with depression -- most common dual presentation

Our Treatment Approach

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Gold standard for anxiety. Identifies triggering thoughts, tests their accuracy, and develops behavioral skills to tolerate uncertainty without avoidance. Structured, practical, and measurable.

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

For OCD-related anxiety and specific phobias. Systematically decreases fear responses through gradual, supported exercises.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Particularly effective when analysis feeds into the anxiety cycle. Teaches a different way to relate to anxiety instead of trying to eliminate it.

Medication Management for Anxiety

SSRIs and SNRIs are first-line medications. Our Psych NP assesses each client individually and prescribes cautiously, maintaining full transparency. Non-habit-forming options are also available.

Insurance Accepted in Minneapolis

Minnesota Medicaid (MA, MinnesotaCare, UCare, Hennepin Health, Blue Plus, HealthPartners Medicaid), Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield MN, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Medica. Benefits verified before your first appointment.
