ABOUT
I'm Ceria Hamlin, MS, NCC, NBC-HWC, a Pre-Licensed Counselor (Pre-LAPC) based in Georgia and available to clients statewide via telehealth. I hold a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University, I'm a Nationally Certified Counselor and a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach, and I bring about nine years of experience walking alongside people through some of the hardest - and most transformative - seasons of their lives.
I became a therapist because I wanted to be for someone else what I needed during the hardest seasons of my own life: a space where I could be honest without being judged, where I didn't need the right words, and where someone could sit with me in the hard stuff without rushing me to fix it or find the silver lining. That's the kind of space I try to create for every client who works with me.
I'm warm, curious, direct, and a self-proclaimed nerd - I believe you can take the work of therapy seriously without taking yourself too seriously. Expect real conversation, a few random analogies, plenty of honesty, and a therapist who shows up as a real human, because I want you to feel comfortable doing the same.
WHO I HELP
I work with adults, couples, and families - including many people who have spent much of their lives being "the strong one," the caregiver, or the person everyone else depends on, and who are beginning to realize they need space to care for themselves too. My ideal client is generally an adult who is ready to understand themselves differently and make meaningful changes, even if they don't yet have the words for what needs to change.
• Adults navigating major life transitions - career changes, divorce, grief, or the sense that something isn't working anymore
• Individuals stuck in repeating relationship patterns, overthinking, or people-pleasing
• Couples working through communication breakdowns, trust, intimacy, or recurring conflict
• Adults exploring ADHD, identity, and self-worth
• Teens navigating identity, anxiety, ADHD, and family relationships
• Families and parents working through boundaries, conflict, and changing roles
MY THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
My approach is primarily person-centered - you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to create a space where you can be honest, curious, challenged, and supported enough to grow. Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all, so I draw from a range of approaches depending on what you're experiencing and what's most helpful, including:
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills
• Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapy
• Trauma-Informed and Attachment-Based approaches
• Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Family Systems Therapy
• Gottman Method (for couples) and Narrative Therapy
• Mindfulness-Based and Strength-Based Therapy
Some sessions explore the deeper "why" behind a pattern; others focus on practical tools, communication, boundaries, or figuring out what to do next. Either way, it's a collaborative process - I'll meet you where you are, and together we'll figure out what "better" looks like for you.

NAVIGATING ADULT ADHD
Adult ADHD affects far more than attention - it can shape how you manage time, regulate emotions, maintain relationships, and even how you feel about yourself. I help adults understand how their brains actually work, recognize how attention, impulsivity, executive functioning, and emotional regulation show up in daily life, and build practical strategies that work with their lives instead of against them, while also recognizing the strengths, like creativity and adaptability, that often come along with it.
RELATIONSHIP SUPPORT
Relationships can be some of the most rewarding - and most complicated - parts of our lives. I help individuals and couples understand how they show up in relationships, recognize patterns that no longer serve them, and build healthier ways of connecting with the people who matter most: understanding dating and attachment styles, getting out of relationship ruts, improving communication and boundaries, strengthening romantic partnerships, and navigating separation or divorce with more intention.
SELF-WORTH & IDENTITY
I help clients reconnect with their sense of identity, strengthen their self-worth, and become more intentional about how they want to show up in their lives - exploring who they are beyond their roles, recognizing patterns of people-pleasing and over-functioning, challenging negative self-talk, building confidence and self-trust, and navigating identity transitions that come with career changes, relationships, parenthood, aging, or loss.
