About Laura
Thoughtful, professional care tailored to your needs.
WHO I HELP
Have you been trying to outrun a habit that started as comfort, a grief you haven't faced, or a diagnosis that's felt like a label instead of a starting point? Recovery and healing aren't linear, and you don't need to have it figured out before you call. I'm Laura, a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and LPCC-Candidate, and I've spent over a decade sitting with people at every stage of that journey.
I serve clients throughout Minnesota via telehealth, and I specialize in addiction, dual diagnosis (co-occurring mental health and substance use), trauma, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real clinical expertise.

ADDICTION & SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS
Helping people recover from alcohol, drug, and gambling addiction is work I'm deeply passionate about. I use Motivational Interviewing to help you tap into your own internal drive for change - no shame, no ultimatums, no judgment. Just evidence-based, compassionate support grounded in clinical expertise and a decade of real-world experience in both residential and outpatient settings.
DUAL DIAGNOSIS: MENTAL HEALTH & SUBSTANCE USE
Many of my clients carry both a mental health diagnosis and a substance use concern - and I believe both deserve to be treated together, not in isolation. Whether it's anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (BPD), or trauma layered alongside addiction, I'm trained and experienced to hold the full picture of who you are and what you need.
LGBTQIA+ AFFIRMING CARE
My practice is a safe, affirming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals navigating identity, relationships, mental health, and substance use challenges. I bring a culturally informed, affirming lens to every session.
TRAUMA, GRIEF & EMOTIONAL WELLNESS
Whether you're processing grief and loss, working through past trauma, struggling with an eating disorder, or rebuilding your sense of self-worth, I create a safe and structured space to do that work. I draw from CBT, Adlerian therapy, and strength-based strategies to help you develop healthy habits, a clearer sense of identity, and a life that feels like yours again.
