Thoughtful, professional care tailored to your needs.
ABOUT
I am TaShara Jones, MS, MS, a wellness-focused mental health professional with more than 10 years of experience supporting adolescents, adults, older adults, and families. My work is grounded in a holistic, person-centered approach that creates a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can show up exactly as they are and still grow.
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, grieving, navigating family conflict, or ready to understand long-standing patterns in your life, I meet you with care, clinical skill, and respect for your pace. Together, we focus on meaningful change that supports the whole person: mind, emotions, relationships, environment, and identity.
WHO I HELP
I work with adolescents ages 10 and up, adults, older adults, and families who are navigating challenges that feel too heavy to carry alone. My clients often come to therapy for support with:
- Trauma, including complex trauma, childhood adversity, and interpersonal violence
- Grief and loss, including death, relationship endings, identity shifts, and major life changes
- Family conflict, communication breakdowns, boundary challenges, and generational patterns
- Substance use and dual diagnosis concerns
- Anxiety, depression, and mood-related challenges
- Interpersonal difficulties, attachment patterns, and social isolation
- Life transitions, career changes, relocation, identity development, and aging
- Justice-involved youth, behavioral challenges, family engagement, and system navigation
MY THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
I believe healing happens when people feel truly seen, not assessed or managed, but genuinely met where they are. My clinical style is holistic, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and collaborative. I draw from evidence-based modalities and tailor treatment to each client's goals, strengths, and lived experience.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to reshape thought patterns that keep people stuck
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to strengthen emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support values-aligned living alongside difficult emotions
- Schema-Focused Therapy to explore deep-rooted beliefs and patterns formed through early experience
- Trauma-Informed Care that prioritizes safety, trust, choice, and empowerment
- Multisystemic Therapy (MST) principles when working with youth, families, and community systems
- Person-Centered and Culturally Responsive Care that honors identity, background, and worldview
My work is never one-size-fits-all. We move at your pace, adjust as you grow, and revisit the plan whenever life calls for it.

CLINICAL BACKGROUND & EXPERTISE
My career spans more than a decade of clinical care, supervision, program leadership, and community-based practice. I have worked across PHP/IOP settings, outpatient mental health therapy, multisystemic therapy, juvenile justice and court-based services, community mental health, crisis intervention, and safety planning.
I have also served in clinical leadership roles, including lead clinical therapist, MST therapist supervisor, incentive grant program manager, and staff training and quality assurance roles. This background helps me understand not only the individual therapy room, but also the family, community, and system-level pressures that shape mental health.
CULTURALLY FOCUSED & AFFIRMING CARE
Culture shapes how we experience the world, how we express pain, and how we heal. I bring a culturally focused approach to every session, one that honors your racial and ethnic identity, family traditions, community values, and lived experiences without assumption or judgment.
I have worked extensively with Black and African American communities, families navigating systemic barriers, and people who have felt unseen or misunderstood by mainstream mental health systems. You will not have to explain yourself here. You will be heard.
